GLEN ROCK, NJ – A crowd of more than 400 gathered for the film documentary “Banded Together: the Boys From Glen Rock High.”

On March 30, an “enthusiastic crowd” gave the film by director Barry Rubinow “two thumbs up,” according to Lisa Hahn of the Arts Council of Glen Rock.

There were after remarks by Rubinow and humorous comments by Uncle Floyd Vivino, in addition to four of the eight band members who gave an impromptu performance.

The evening was presented by the Arts Council of Glen Rock with support from Dr. Michael Parent, principal, Glen Rock High & Middle Schools. Former GRHS classmates, current students, local dignitaries, and retired Glen Rock music teacher Joe Sielski attended the event. Mayor Kristine Morieko presented Rubinow with a proclamation from the Borough of Glen Rock.

Mr. Sielski was instrumental in mentoring the eight young men from GRHS Classes of 1969 through 1974, who each went on to professional careers in the music industry.
